FARMER’S MARKET

We went to the Farmer’s market this morning and we noticed some changes from the last time that we were there.  There were less vendors and less customers.  Hannah explained that as the temperatures increase people tend to stay indoors more – even those who live here and are acclimated to the heat.  We did have several vendors tell us that they will not be doing their booths for much longer as, the Tupperware lady said, “it’s just getting too damn hot!”  She has decided that she will just stay comfy in her air conditioning and only go outdoors when she must.

We had a good time and were able to get some good fresh fruit and veggies.  We are still juicing daily, and we feel like we are draining the local organic food stores of their fresh juicing carrots because the pickings are getting slim.  Today we purchased our morning juices from a juice truck that goes every week to the Farmer’s market.  They cold press their juice rather than running the produce through a juicer.  It was very good.  We did quite a bit of walking, but not a lot of purchasing.

Tiff has had a bit of a step back.  She has been experiencing some intermittent lightheadedness again.  We’re not sure the cause of this.  Her vital signs are good.  She is getting plenty of sleep.  We are eating healthy food.  We are staying well hydrated.  It’s a baffling situation.  What adds to the dilemma is that she had not had any of those spells for a few weeks.  We may never know what causes them.

We are going to go to a movie this evening.  Hannah has to work this evening so she will not be joining us.  We have begun to work on the large living room and have discovered that we may just have to re-box stuff for her to go through at a later time.  There is not a lot of boxes, they’re just in the way of it looking clean and neat.  We moved her gaming system/monitor from a plain white table to a gaming desk – this has improved the appearance of her living room a lot already.  We will continue to work toward a neat and tidy house for Hannah by the time that we leave. She has been a gracious host and that’s the least we can do to thank her.
