One of the aspects of this plan was to do one act of kindness every week. We began this in our second week. We reviewed this today and we have done 1 act weekly. We have donated diapers and nursing pads to a pregnancy center. We have stopped and given water to a man on the street who was hot and sweaty – he looked homeless. We gave a sack of paper goods and canned goods to a food pantry that serves a low-income area of town. I spent 20 minutes in a Goodwill collecting the carts and putting them where they belong in the cart rack. We haven’t decided what act of kindness we will do this week.
We had a very nice Sunday. In church we heard from a missionary pastor who plants churches in Spain. The pictures that he has of the countryside were beautiful. It was an interesting message to hear. They have a hard time getting the people of Spain to trust them. When Spain was under Communist rule the government aligned with the Catholic church to spy on the population and to arrest people. So, the people of that generation have no trust in any “religion.” They’re children and grandchildren are receptive to the gospel message and so they have many young people they are ministering to – they need adult help to teach and disciple all these young people. He and his wife were both children of missionaries, so they are very familiar with the “aches and pains” of being missionaries.
We had a nice dinner after lunch. This evening we played games and ate popcorn with nutritional yeast on it as a snack in place of dinner since none of us were very hungry. It was really good. If you want your popcorn to taste great and be a healthy snack, simply air pop it and sprinkle nutritional yeast on it – great tasting healthy snack.

One response to “ARE YOU KIND?”
I had not heard of nutritional yeast before so I Googled it. It said it had a somewhat cheesy flavor…and maybe nutty. I can see where it would be good on popcorn.
